Skinny Buffalo Wings

Serves 4
Inspired by: fitness magazine
Preheat your broiler.
Place 2 lbs chicken wings in a pot of boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes. Drain.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix together 1/4 cup wing sauce (one that contains cayenne pepper), 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 3 tablespoons chicken broth (low sodium).
Transfer wings to a broiler pan. Broil for 6-7 minutes on each side until brown and blistery.
Transfer the wings to a baking sheet and coat with sauce. Broil for another 1-2 minutes to heat the sauce. Serve with celery and extra wing sauce.
Nutrition (per Fitness magazine) :
Serving: 4-5 wings. 170 calories, 23 grams protein, 6 grams of fat and 1 gram fiber.
*When you boil the wings, most of the fat from the skins ends up in the water, and more fat drips off during broiling.
*Most wing recipes call for butter, but by using chicken broth and lemon juice you save about 100 calories a serving!
I love wings! I have a favorite wing restaurant that does .50 wings on Tuesday nights. So good! But, when I cook at home, I want my meals to be healthier. I came across this recipe in Fitness Magazine and tried it out. Couldn't believe how good they were for less that 200 calories!
